Ceramics II is intended to continue the curriculum of Ceramics 1 to a higher level. In this class, the student will have hands‐on application of constructing higher quality ceramic projects by learning how to inlay ceramic designs, decorate with stains and underglazes, and how to aesthetically finish a ceramic project. Projects will include custom fitting lids, pulled handles, spouts, combining ceramic constructions, and carving designs into clay. The potters wheel will be given extensive time in order for the student to refine this high skill level.
