It has been a pleasure being a member of the Pelham High School Faculty since the Fall of 2006.  I really enjoy fostering an energetic and interactive classroom where students are encouraged to utilize their emerging language  skills.  I  highly value giving them a personalized and realistic experience by creating simulation scenarios such as the Emergency Room or the Train Station where students must survive in a completely language-immersed environment.  In addition I like traveling with my students to Spanish-speaking countries such as Spain in 2010 and the Dominican Republic in 2012 where 12 students gave up their April vacation to teach English to public school students in grades 1-5 in Monte Cristi, Dominican Republic .  By far, this was one of the most rewarding and memorable trips that I have been a part of and I am looking forward to planning future international community service ventures.
