Tami Harpster
Welcome to my website-READING ROCKS!!!  I have been a Reading Specialist at Palmyra Elementary for the past six years.  I work with all students and teachers.  Prior to coming to PEASD, I was a first grade teacher in Oconomowoc, and a third and second grade teacher in Lake Geneva.

I am a busy mother of four wonderful children.  Our lives revolve around sports, activities, and of course READING!  My children are very involved in their school activities, and enjoy reading as much as I do.

At Palmyra Elementary, I work with teachers on implementing Readers' and Writers' Workshop, Words Their Way, and guiding literacy instruction to best meet the needs' of our students.  I also work with readers who need a little extra help, and teach in classrooms as a bonus.

I earned my Undergraduate teaching degree from UW-Whitewater in Elementary Education with an emphasis on Special Education.  I returned to UW-Whitewater and earned my Masters Degree in Education, specializing in Reading.  I love working with children and literacy, and this is my dream job!!
