Welcome to Mrs. Haima's Website!
Hello! I am the reading intervention teacher at Eagle Elementary School, supporting students K5-6th grade. This is my fourth year in the district and in this position. Previously, I've taught K4, K5, and 1st grade in other urban, suburban, and rural districts in the area southeast Wisconsin area. I graduated from UW-Platteville in 2007 with a bachelor's in Elementary Education and minors in Adaptive Education, Early Childhood, and Teaching English as a Second/Other Language. I studied a semester in Stavanger, Norway and loved the chance to expand my cultural experiences. My reading teacher certification was gained at Concordia University Wisconsin in 2010.

This is also my fourth year co-coordinating the Spelling Bee Club. EES participates in the Scripps National Spelling Bee program, which offers 3rd-6th grade students the chance to move on to additional levels of competition after winning our school's bee. If you'd like to know more about this club, just ask!

A little more about myself:
I'm a busy mother of three - ages 2, 4, and one on the way! We love trips to the zoo, parks, bike rides, Little People, trains, Duplos, reading stories, and My Little Ponies. :) When I'm not busy with my family, I enjoy baking, traveling, and of course reading!
