Mrs. Blaedow
I love teaching second grade at Eagle Elementary School! I am a graduate of UW-Madison with a degree in Elementary Education and Child and Family Studies. I have been teaching here since 2002, with 2004 being my first year teaching second grade at this school. I have been a classroom teacher for  23 years. I have experience teaching Kindergarten, First grade and Third grade, but Second grade is the best!
Second grade is all about exploring ideas, learning new skills and concepts, developing independence, discovering things about ourselves and learning about others. My favorite part of teaching is helping children discover the joy of reading. Sharing stories and learning from non-fiction books opens up a whole world to students. I love to read great books to my students and discuss them together. I always learn new things from my students!
I have lived in the Palmyra-Eagle area for most of my life. My family includes my husband, Anthony, and our two grown daughters, Julia and Emily, and Julia's husband, Taylor. We have a dog named Zoe who keeps us laughing everyday with her energy and silly antics. We enjoy family time together doing things like camping, gardening, taking walks, playing games and cooking delicious meals!
Parents, I would like to welcome you to be my partner in your child's education. Please contact me anytime! Home and school partnerships=student success!
