My name is Chris Ketterhagen and I teach 5th grade at Eagle Elementary School. In my time at EES, I believe I have learned as much about teaching, as my students have about math, reading, and writing. I’m very lucky to have had the opportunity to teach in the Palmyra Eagle School District because so many of my former students stop in and say hi. I never get tired of hearing about all the successes they are having after their time at EES.
I earned my Bachelor’s in Education in 1998 from Winona State University and my Master’s in Education from Cardinal Stritch University in 2005. I have completed post-graduate work at St. Thomas University. In 1998, St. Charles Grade School in Burlington, WI hired me to teach 4th grade. EES chose me to teach 3rd grade in the fall of 1999 and I have been here ever since. During my 18 years here, I have taught 3rd, 6th, and 5th grades.
When I’m not here teaching, you are most likely to find me hanging out with my twin boys (Mason and Matthew). We love to fish, golf, and build legos. As most of my former and current students know, I am a huge Florida State Seminole and Seattle Seahawks fan.
