About Audiovisual Equipment Checkout

Video cameras, lighting kits, audio recorders and other audiovisual equipment is available for UNST students, mentors and faculty who wish to create audiovisual materials. You can use checked-out equipment for up to two days.

Reserve, pick up and sign for equipment in Cramer Hall 117 (in the University Studies office on the PSU campus) between 8:00 a.m. and 5 p.m., Mon-Fri. No pickup or return on Saturday or Sunday.

Be sure to read and understand the A/V Equipment Checkout Policy.

NOTE: The ability to reserve equipement through this online site has been disabled while it is being upgraded.

If you would like to reserve AV equipment ahead of time, stop by the UNST office or send an email indicating the equipment to reserve and the date. Otherwise, equipment is available on a first-come, first-serve basis. We expect to have completed the upgrades by Nov. 1, 2014.

A/V Equipment Checkout Policy:

  • Students must be enrolled in a FRINQ, SINQ or Capstone Course in order to check out an item. Students reserve the equipment in advance. The person checking out the item must sign for the item in person and display a valid student ID. By signing for the item, the student becomes responsible for the items checked out.
  • Students may check out items for a maximum of 48 hours, not counting weekends. Renewals are possible if the item is not reserved for another check out. Late returns can result in loosing equipment checkout privileges.
  • Students are responsible for the safety and security of all issued equipment. The equipment must be returned in the same working condition as it was issued to the student. As per the PSU Student Code of Conduct, students will be required to pay for lost, damaged or stolen equipment, and can lose checkout privileges, too.
  • If an item is unreturned, and the student does not contact us regarding a plan to replace the item, University Studies will have to report the item stolen, and Campus Public Safety will be notified.
