The 2015 World Congress of the International Association for Landscape Ecology has concluded!  Over 850 scientists and practitioners from over 50 countries came to downtown Portland and Portland State University to share and learn about landscape ecology.  Our theme was:  Crossing Scales, Crossing Borders: Global Approaches to Complex Challenges.

A huge THANK YOU to the many people who generously contributed time and effort to make the meeting a success. Current IALE-International and US-IALE officers were involved in many ways: Felix Kienast, Janet Franklin, Brian Buma, Xiuzhen Li, Tom Edwards, Ralf-Uwe Syrbe, Kathy Vigness-Raposa, Todd Lookingbill, and many many others.

We also thank our featured speakers for plenary sessions and banquet for their valuable contributions: Xiuzhen Li, Tom Spies, John Wiens, Christina von Haaren. And we thank our the 57 Symposium Organizers, too numerous to name. We appreciate the extra efforts made by the 12 workshop organizers.

We are very grateful for assistance from our colleagues at Portland State University: Jennifer Allen, Scott Shales, Brooke Cassell. Hong He, University of Missouri, provided many reviews and assisted with scheduling. And our student volunteers, including Garry Sotnik, Brooke Cassell, Hari Luintel from the DE&L Lab.

Finally, we are especially grateful for truly extraordinary efforts from Meg Boera, Cindy Delaney, and the entire crew at Delaney Meeting & Event Management, who managed crucial portions of the meeting organization, and were essential partners in this effort.
