Mrs. Penny Nash
Hello fellow Bees! I am so excited to be Principal here at UHS and follow a long line of great educators. I myself am a graduate from UHS. I received my Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education in English from TTU as well as my Masters in Supervision in Education and my Ed.S. in Administration. I began my career in education at Algood School and Avery Trace and then came to UHS in 1997, and have been here ever since. I have been the Assistant Principal for five years. UHS is a school rich in tradition and one that strives for excellence in education. Along with the faculty and staff, I welcome you to UHS and I encourage you all to not just walk the halls, but become involved in as many activities as you can. Let's make this year one of the best ever at UHS!
Mrs. Rhonda Mahan
Welcome! I am Rhonda Mahan, the newest member of the administrative team at UHS. I am a UHS graduate, and also attended TTU where I received a Bachelor’s of Science in Education, a Master’s Degree in Administration and Supervision, and an Ed.S. in Instructional Leadership. I am beginning my 25th year with Putnam County Schools. I have had the pleasure of teaching at Baxter Elementary and Cornerstone Middle School. For the last two years, I have worked system-wide in Teacher Evaluation and Instructional Coaching. I am pleased to return to my alma mater as assistant principal to support your student in obtaining the necessary skills to become college and career ready. Please feel free to come by for a visit or contact me with any concerns you may have. I am always available to assist you and your child.
Mr. Frank Tittle
I am a graduate of Tennessee Tech University with an undergraduate in Music and a Master's Degree in Instructional Leadership. This is my third year at Upperman High School in an administrative capacity and my seventh year in the building as a teacher. One of my new responsibilities this year will be athletic director for Upperman High School. I will do my best to make sure that everyone in the community is aware of all athletic events that will be taking place this school year. I am thankful for the chance to be a part of the community and am looking forward to another great year at Upperman High School.
