Putnam County High School Announces 2024 Pletsch Scholarship
Putnam County High School with the Adolph and Elmer Pletsch Charitable Trust Scholarship committee are happy to announce the 2024 Pletsch Scholarship applications are now available. The applications can be found in this link or can be picked up from the PCHS Guidance Office. Students who plan to pursue a post-secondary education in the agriculture field are encourage to apply. The deadline to submit applications is March 15 and completed applications are due to the PCHS District Office.
Marquis Announces 2024: What Fuels You Scholarship
Marquis Inc. is proud to share that the Marquis "What Fuels You" Scholarship is now open to all students enrolled in a university, community college, or trade school in the Fall of 2024. Marquis Energy has a long history of driving innovation in biofuel production with a diverse portfolio of multi-generational, family-run companies focused on continual innovation in creating a sustainable world. Today, Marquis is the largest dry-mill ethanol facility in the world, producing 400 million gallons annually. Our robust United States, Europe, and Asia team produces and markets low-carbon feed and fuel solutions worldwide. Marquis is creating a circular carbon economy by producing sustainable fuels, blue and pink hydrogen, and blue and pink ammonia to decarbonize aviation, agriculture, and marine transportation. Located on the Mt. Simon geological formation, the Marquis Industrial Complex has the capacity to store over 100 million tons of carbon dioxide using carbon capture technology. With its best-in-class logistics and global reach, Marquis will lead in global decarbonization
This year, Marquis is offering the Marquis "What Fuels You" Scholarship, awarding a total of $10,000 in scholarships with up to two $2,500 scholarships for all students that live within a 90-mile radius of Hennepin and will be enrolled in college, graduate school, or a technical institute for the Fall 2024 semester.
The scholarship requires applicants to complete three essay questions (500-750 words) and provide one teacher recommendation. We will be accepting applications until March 1st, 2024.

For parents of seniors, as the calendar turns to the 2023-2024 school year and thinking about our children graduating and starting college this year begins, I wanted to share the list of PCHS Scholarships with you. Some of the scholarships have due dates as early as January. The extra week off during Winter Break is a great opportunity for your seniors to start working on these scholarship applications. To access the scholarship application see the Scholarship Information tab to the left on this site, click the button below, or your senior can pick up a paper copy of all scholarships from the PCHS Guidance Office.
