Course Projects

Project 1: Hallie June is excited to be starting her new job. She will be making $21.00 per hour and working a 40 hour week. Please help her create a basic budget. Her expenses on a monthly basis are as follows: Donations 15% of the gross income, Savings, 10% of the net income, Rent $310, Car Payment $225, Student Loans $150, Renters Insurance $12, Cell Phone $50, Car Insurance $100, Power $40, Water $100, Cable$50, Internet $40, Food $400, Gas $160. The power, water and cable bills are split between four people. Don't forget to calculate taxes. We will also be making a chart to show her visually where her expenses are going.

Project 2: Creating an Address Book to use with Mail Merge

Hallie June's brother is getting married in two months. She has been put in charge of creating a family address book and printing labels for all the envelopes. Please create a spreadsheet that will easily be used with the mail merge feature of word. Use the following names and addresses.

Project 3: Hallie June has just been asked to take over the responsibility of the work schedule at her office. There are seven people she needs to account for during a twelve hour time period. Please create a weekly schedule Monday through Friday between the hours of 07:00 and 19:00. Saturday's schedule is from 07:00 to 16:00 The seven people in her office are: Daneen Westlund, Bonnie Wingate, Camille Howard, Hannah Franson, Carl Brown, Justin Reese, Hallie June. The job titles are: Manager, Secretary, Inventory Specialist, Payroll Clerk, and Cashier. Write a formula to total the hours worked in a day for each person and the total hours worked in a week for each person.

Project 4: Hallie June has just been placed over inventory control. Please help her develop an inventory spreadsheet based on the following information. Item No, Artist Name, Medium, Art Title, Location, Quantity. You will also need to perform sorts by Artist Name, Medium and Location.
