Pella Christian High School. Many years ago, as a freshman at South Hamilton in Jewell, IA, he wanted to take French. However, since South Hamilton didn't offer French and he still wanted to get into college, Sr. Noble signed up for Spanish I. He planned to tolerate the minimum three years and be done with "stupid Spanish" forever. Something happened that year. Sr. Noble actually enjoyed learning Spanish and he began to read and listen to anything that he could find in Spanish. The summer between his sophomore and junior year of high school he took Spanish 102 at DMACC in Ankeny. This allowed him to take Spanish IV as a junior and Spanish 201 and 202 at Iowa State as a high school senior.
Sr. Noble has had much experience with the Spanish language. He has taught at the world famous Concordia Language Villages in Bemidji, MN, in the Ames Foreign Language Program, as a Spanish tutor at Des Moines Area Community College (DMACC), as a Teacher's Assistant (TA) at the University of Northern Iowa (UNI), at two private schools in the Atlanta, GA metro area: Community Christian School and Homeschool University, in several small group and one on one Spanish language classes, and from the Fall of 2008 to the Spring of the 2011 as a Spanish teacher at Ogden High School in Ogden, IA.
In addition to teaching Spanish, Sr. Noble has put his Spanish skills to use as a Bilingual Human Resources Assistant at Burke Corp. in Nevada, IA and in ministry to the Spanish speaking community through a Spanish church called "El Pozo" (The Well). He has traveled to various places in Mexico, the last time (2005) co-leading a group of high school Spanish students on a service project trip to Ciudad Victoria in the state of Tamalipas. He has also been to various cities in Costa Rica. Finally, he was an exchange student for five months at the Universidad de Oviedo in Oviedo, Spain and has been to most of the major cities in central and northern Spain.
Sr. Noble has been married since January 3rd of 2004 to the love of his life, Carrie. She graduated from Iowa State with a Biology degree in mysterious sciency stuff that Sr. Noble will probably never fully understand. He and his bride welcomed their first child, Jonas Liam, into the world on October 31, 2008. Baby Noble número dos, Asher Jacob, arrived on March 17, 2011.
