Middle School EdCamp

An "unconference" is a conference without predefined topics where participant involvement plays a critical role in shaping the professional learning and development that takes place. In an "unconference", while there can be a high level structure and theme, often most, if not all, of the actual topics are generated by the participants at the outset, breakout groups are formed dynamically based on interest and relevance and educators are encouraged to facilitate the conversations with their peers in those breakout groups.

Since this is our annual i3 Tech PD, the theme is defined by the use of technology in the classroom, but topics are left to participants to designate upon arrival (and in our case, as well, ahead of time) via our "Session Board."  If you have a topic that you would like to facilitate a discussion around, please add it to this Session Board, which is a Google Doc that everyone has editing rights to. Indeed, consider facilitating a session. It requires no advance preparation (you can however, if you want to) and just means that you'd be volunteering to help guide the exploration of a topic of interest with colleagues.

Please take the time to read the FAQs in order to better understand the expectations for our Edcamped i3.  Note, unlike some unconferences, sign-in sheets will be provided at each session and attendees are expected to sign-in as they would at a more traditional PD event.
