3D Foundations is a Junior level course that all visual arts students take as part of our Foundations program.  Junior Foundations is a year-round course broken into four sections (Drawing & Painting, Graphic Design/Printmaking, 3D Design, and Digital Art).

Course Outcomes:

Students will learn the proper use of and care for tools for various forms of construction.

Students will develop an aesthetic sensitivity and understanding of form, space, and time.

Students will experience creating sculpture using all of the major 3D construction categories of subtractive sculpture, additive sculpture, and modeling.

Students will experience a wide range of sculptural media.

Students will leave with an expanded definition of art.
