IDEAS
Current Issues Project:  Based on 2004 AP Language and Composition Test Question:
In pairs, students choose a controversial issue of concern locally, statewide, nationally or internationally.  Together they formulate a broad question about the issue. Students will create blogs tracking articles, editorials, survey results, postings, statistics and/or news stories that respond to their questions. Then using approprate evidence from opposing positions on the controversy, propose a solution or compromise.
ACTION:

Students researched controversial issues, and created blogs.


2a. Teachers design or adapt relevant learning experiences that incorporate digital tools and resources to promote student learning and creativity. 
Students incorporated prezi, glogster, and blabberize into their Siddhartha presentations.
 
5d. Teachers contribute to the effectiveness, vitality, and self-renewal of the teaching profession and of their school and community.
