Principal's Message

Welcome to Palmerston Primary School on behalf of all staff and the Board of Trustees. I believe the fundamental role of our school is academic achievement as well as children who are physically active and have the social skills to work well together. We achieve this through quality teaching and learning, active participation in all curricula activities, the teaching and learning of traditional values and a supportive community. It is important that all the students be their best in all academic, cultural, sporting and social fields and their time at Palmerston Primary School is enjoyable. We celebrate success by valuing the contribution of all members of our school community and as a result we have created a vibrant and dynamic learning environment for all.

Our staff are dedicated professionals and this ensures we teach quality programmes through an integrated curriculum. We value staff professional development highly, which has a high impact on children’s learning.

We are committed to ensuring that our children leave Palmerston Primary School with a passion for lifelong learning and this is achieved due to our outstanding teachers and our marvelous families.

Our Board of Trustees plays a leading role in shaping and guiding our vision, and is committed to ensuring the very best opportunities through their involvement.

Palmerston Primary School parents are generous with the support they give to their children, as well as the wider school community through the activities of our thriving Home & School. As active partners in their children’s learning they are fully involved in shaping our school’s direction in terms of support and resources.

It is our children who make Palmerston Primary a special place. We are proud of our children’s achievements gained through the extensive range of learning opportunities as well as cultural, sporting and extra-curricular activities.

Palmerston Primary has excellent facilities, including a library, Activity Centre, swimming pool and superb grounds. We are well resourced and have the advantage of having an extensive field and modern adventure playground.

I would like to give you the opportunity to join our school community.

Please contact me about what Palmerston Primary School has to offer, to discuss the individual needs of your child and to show you our lovely school.

Naku noa, na
