A reason to Volunteer

posted Sep 6, 2010, 6:56 PM by Pack 180CT

Scouting offers quality time for you and your son together. Your

involvement in Scouting ensures this. Your involvement will

ensure that your son has a great time and learns many new

and wonderful skills. Who knows, maybe you can learn something new too.  As an adult Scout

leader you also have an opportunity to serve as a role model.  Kids love to see their parents

taking an active role.

Surveys indicate that boys of 8 or 9 years of age rank as the

important influence in their lives:

#1 Parents

#2 Teachers

#3 Church Leaders

When those same boys reach 14 and 15 years of age they

indicate the primary influences in their lives are:

#1 Friends

#2 Television

While parents, teachers and church have fallen to 6th, 7th and 8th.

Now is the time.
