About us

Cub Scout Pack 135 was chartered in 1985.  We have a long history of excellence in providing a great opportunity for boys to learn skills, leadership, make friends and have a great time doing so.  The pack is operated by parents who all volunteer their time to build a program that the boys, their siblings and parents alike can all derive fun and enjoyment.  The pack does not have any paid positions.  Our pack is part of the Northern Ridge district which  is within the Atlanta Area Council.

Big Outing
Each year we have a trip we call the Big Outing.  Sometimes they can be really big adventures and others are a bit more modest.  Here's a list of some of the trips for the past few years:
  • 2015-16 Cumberland Island & Okefenokee Swamp
  • 2014-15 U.S. Space & Rocket Center, Huntsville Alabama
  • 2013-14 McWane Science Center, Birmingham Alabama
  • 2012-13 USS Yorktown, Charleston South Carolina
  • 2011-12 Chattanooga Aquarium
  • 2010-11 Okefenokee Swamp

Philosophy

We believe that boys learn by doing.  Our pack is active and we try to have most pack and den activities outdoors when possible.  We also believe that boys need to just plain run around sometimes and enjoy the camaraderie and smiles that always appear.   The boys safety is always our first concern, and we do everything we can to ensure a safe environment for our sons.

Funding

The pack has annual dues and typically just one fund raiser per year (popcorn sales).  The annual popcorn sales is a great opportunity for boys to learn important life skills while also raising funds for pack operations and activities.
