Gaming for a Goal is a 1st year event, which aims to help children in hospitals. We will be trying to work with Pixel Arts in Portland, Oregon to help provide entertainment and education for the underprivileged children. We hope to be able to raise money and donations to supply the children with video games and money for activities. Essentially we hope to  give the children something fun and engaging. We also hope to raise awareness about how not all video games are a negative thing, and can actually be an inspiration to the many people who engage in them. We plan to accomplish these two goals by holding two different events on our university campus. First we will host a movie event highlighting the hard work that goes into producing video games for entertainment and encourage people to enter that innovative field. Then we plan on hosting a gaming party where students will come and play games with their friends and donate money for Pixel Arts so that they can experience the same thing.
