Puzzle for summer: Show the closed unit disk can be obtained as a disjoint union of closed straight line segments, each of positive length. Proof by diagram is fine. If you solve it, take a photo of your drawing with your phone and email it to me! (Challenge: prove it for closed unit ball in R^n.)

Final exam: R 5/7, 1:00 pm. The exam will cover all sections and homework problems, with some emphasis on material covered after the second midterm (Sec 11-12, HWs 18-23).
