Registration meetings are held remotely via Google Meet.  A meeting ID and call-in number will be provided by email.
Note: Video is not required for these meetings. 

The District utilizes a central registration process for all students in grades Preschool through 12.  Parents/guardians should follow the steps below to register their child(ren) into the Oxford Public Schools.

2020-2021 School Year

Important Information:
  • Preschool 2020-21 All Preschool students must first be screened. Please go to the Preschool web page first to complete and submit a screening request form. Once accepted into our program, please complete the new student registration process.
  • Kindergarten 2020-21 - Please review the information on the Kindergarten web page prior to completing this registration process.
  • 1st-12th Grades 2020-21 - In addition to completing the steps below, please follow the withdrawal process for the school your child(ren) will be leaving and ask them to forward a copy of the required documents listed in Step 7, including the state mandated discipline report.

The required documentation below may include items that must be collected and provided by the parent.  These can be emailed or faxed with the contact information above.

If you do not have access to a scanner or fax machine, photos can be accepted, but they must be clearly legible.  If the registrar cannot read the documents once printed, you will have to resubmit them.

Please print the checklist below and utilize it to ensure you have acquired the following documentation:
Checklist for Parents - The checklist provided lists the materials needed in order to register your child for school.  Below are the documents needed laid out in steps.
Step 1 - Online Registration Form 

Registration System:    You will be asked to create a secure family account the first time you use this registration system.  Please remember the email address and password used to create this account so you can access the account at a later time for editing or registering additional students.
  • 2020-21 School Year Online Form - You will be contacted via the email(s) provided for the parents/guardians when your registration form has been received. Please check your email regularly for any follow-up from the registrar!
Step 2 - Legal Documentation
Parent/Guardian should gather documents below for each student being registered.
  • Birth Certificate - Government issued original or copy with raised seal (will be copied and returned).
  • Proof of Physical Custody - If applicable

Step 3 - Proof of Residency
Parent/Guardian must provide the following Proof of Residency documents.

Step 4 - Health Documentation  
Please review the School Health Policy and Procedures.  The Health Record and Certificate of Immunization must be completed or provided by your child's Primary Care Physician.  These documents can be provided by the parent/guardian or faxed to the Registrar's office by your child's doctor.  Please refrain from emailing medical documents in compliance with HIPAA Privacy Laws.

Step 5 - Free & Reduced Lunch Information (Optional) 
If you qualify for Free & Reduced Lunch based on received financial assistance or income. Not applicable for Preschool students.  Note: Applications must be submitted each new school year.  New school year applications are made available in August prior to the first day of school.

Step 6 - School Records
Parent/Guardian should complete the withdrawal process from the school that the student(s) will be leaving and direct the school to fax all documents below to the attention of the Registrar at (508) 987-6054 and/or mail them to 4 Maple Road, Oxford, MA 01540.  If possible, please come to the registration meeting with the documents below to accelerate the registration process. 
  • Transfer Card - If transferring from another Massachusetts public school.
  • Current Grades - If transferring in the middle of a marking period.
  • Last Report Card/Transcript
  • Discipline Report/Letter - MGL Ch. 71, Sec. 37L requires a discipline report or letter regarding discipline even if there are no incidents.
  • Signed IEP or 504 Plan and Supporting Documents - If applicable

Step 7 - Make an Appointment

Parent/Guardian should contact the Registrar to make a virtual appointment complete the registration process.  Please email or fax all of the required documentation above to the Registrar prior to the scheduled virtual meeting to ensure all proper documentation has been received.  

All appointments will be held remotely via Google Meet.  Note that video is not required and you can access the remote meeting via the link or call-in number and code provided to you by email.

8:00AM - 3:00PM

Appointments are scheduled in 30-minute intervals within the allotted hours above.

IMPORTANT - It is the responsibility of the parents/guardians to ensure the District receives the required documentation for registration.  Incomplete student registration folders will not be forwarded to the schools for enrollment.
