Believing that learning takes place among a variety of experiences, the Oxford Public Preschool strives to provide experiences that offer each child the opportunity to grow socially, emotionally, cognitively and physically.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Must be three or four years old by August 31st
  • Must be a resident of Oxford
  • Must be toilet-trained (unless prevented by a disability)
Preschool Screenings:

Why is assessment important? Assessment provides educators, parents, and families with critical information about a child’s development and growth. Early childhood assessment is a tool used to gather and provide educators, parents, and families with critical information about a child’s development and growth.

The Oxford Public School District requires a cost-free developmental screening for three and four year old children who are interested in attending our Integrated Preschool Programs.

Screenings are scheduled on Friday Mornings at the A. M. Chaffee School located at 9 Clover Street, Oxford, MA 01540.
