Central Administration Office

The Central Administration Office of the Oxford Public Schools houses the offices of the Superintendent of Schools,
Financial Operations, Student Services Department, Technology, Student Registration, EduCare Program, and Title I.  
The offices are located on the top floor of the Oxford Community Center located at 4 Maple Road in Oxford, MA.

Financial Operations
The responsibilities of the Financial Operations staff are broad in the School District. Their overall goal
is to support the educational mission of the District by administering the financial functions and e
all laws, policies and procedures pertaining to those functions are followed, and proper internal controls exist.

Some responsibilities of the staff members include:
- Assisting with development of the School Department's Annual Capital and Operating Budget;
- Processing accounts payable invoices and the School Department's weekly accounts payable warrant;
- Procuring goods and services in compliance with applicable laws, policies, and procedures;
- Handling District revenue deposits and bank reconciliation of all activity accounts; and
- Overseeing grants, fiscal/budgetary reporting, and audit functions.

Public Records Requests - Records Access Officer
In accordance with the amended Commonwealth of Massachusetts Public Records Law, Chapter 121 of the Acts of 2016,
the Oxford Public Schools has designated Helen Coffin, Executive Assistant, as the Records Access
Officer (RAO), the individual who is responsible for responding to Public Records Requests. Mrs. Coffin 
may be contacted by
telephone at 508-987-6050 x1111, by email at 
or by written correspondence sent to her attention at
4 Maple Road in Oxford, MA. 
The duties of the Records Access Officer (RAO) are established by statute and include: 
  • Coordinating responses to requests for access to public records; 
  • Assisting individuals seeking public records in identifying the records requested; 
  • Assisting the custodian of records in preserving public records; and 
  • Preparing guidelines that enable requestors to make informed requests. 
Requested public records will be permitted for inspection within 10 business days, or copies furnished in an electronic format
within 10 business days, unless the record is not available in an electronic format or the requestor does not have the ability
to receive or access the records in a useable electronic format.
The RAO may determine that a fee will be assessed to respond
to a request; if this is the case, a good faith estimate will be provided to the requestor for the production of the records along with
a reasonable time frame for when the records will be provided.
