Our 2017 - 2018 third grade class is made up of 25 students, 9 girls and 16 boys, who are all eager to learn many new things this year.  We will be using the McGraw-Hill Reading Wonders program for reading instruction and writing instruction so we become fluent readers and writers.  We will be using the Wilson Fundations program for phonics/spelling instruction. In math, we will be working on mastering our new Common Cord State Standards through the EnVision math program.  We will also be utilizing the Morning Meeting (Responsive Classroom) routine to build a caring, respectful community within our classroom and school and develop "Kids of Character".

Students recently brought home an introduction letter for Xtra Math. This is a computer program that they should be working on as part of their homework every night. By working on their math facts their ability to compute facts will get more accurate and quicker.  Please refer to your child's sheet for the website and their individual access code. I look forward to seeing their progress each and every day (I will be checking daily). Thank you for your help. Click on the image above to be linked to the site.

Wonders Reading

The Wonders program has an online component where students can access our weekly stories, vocabulary words, games, and much more. Click on the Wonders link below to access the site. You will need to enter your child's password, which was sent home previously.
