Dear Students and Families,

This week in Fundations we will be working on the lowercase letters d and s.  We will be identifying the letter, sound and keyword for each letter.  We will be working on correctly forming each letter and reviewing the letters t,b,f,m, n,c,o, d and s.

For our Wonders Program, we are starting Unit 2 Week 1.  Our essential question that we will be focusing on is: How do tools help us explore?  Our genre this week will be focusing on Informational Text.  For our comprehension skills we will be asking and answering questions and using key details from the story.  Students will begin to identify verbs.

In Math we are still working on Topic 2- One to Five where we will be comparing and ordering numbers 0-5
In addition, we will be working together to create a positive and safe environment for all.  The students will have many social interaction opportunities with their peers during our Centers, ELA, and Math.

As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me.

Thank you in advance,
Mrs. Higgins
Have fun exploring!
