The subject material includes:

(7.NS) Integers & Rational Numbers

(7.RP) Ratios, Proportions & Percents

(7.EE) Algebraic Terms, Expressions, Equations & Inequalities

(7.G) Scale Drawings, Geometric Figures, Cross Sections, Angle Relationships, Circumference, Perimeter, Area, Surface Area & Volume

(7.SP) Data Sampling, Statistics & Probability

1. Students will memorize, recognize and understand Key Words related to All Grade 7 Common CORE Standards.

2. Students will be able to interpret, apply and calculate Concepts and Methods related to All Grade 7 Common CORE Standards.

3. Students will apply this knowledge and all previously mastered knowledge, methods, and skills to solve real-world math-related problems.

Activities will include completion of Grade 7 Math Minutes as a Spiral review of All Grade 7 Concepts and Methods. Additionally, we will be reviewing material from our upcoming Grade 7 enVision series which will become our primary source of material next year. Finally, Students will be completing the "My Number" poster project as the final alternative assessment for the year.

All Standards reviewed build on skills learned in Grades 5, 6 and 7, and contain the basic building blocks of skills that will be needed in Grades 8 and beyond.

All the material that we cover is            presented and assessed using both          hands-on student and group assignments and alternative assessment projects          as well as MCAS type questions              in multiple choice, multiple select, short response, and  open response                    format. Students will work through          lessons created to encourage self-              exploration and critical thinking of the    material covered. Students will also        explore and demonstrate proficiency        with MCAS  type questions throughout    the school  year. These types of                questions require the Higher Order          Thinking that your child is required to    use to answer questions on the MCAS    Exam. This Student-Centered approach to Higher Order Thinking will give your child the best preparation for next year  and  beyond!

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me!
