Statistics of Population of Bald Eagles

    In 1972 when DDT was banned from any use, the bald eagle population was extremely low, so low that they were endangered. Very few bald eagles survived these pesticides and were able to reproduce. After the banning on DDT, the population of bald eagles across North America has increased drastically. The website linked below shows each individual states population of the bald eagle over time until 2007. As of 2007, the population of bald eagles had exceeded 11,000 pairs in the United States.
