Project Location: Elbasan
Project Summary: In the Fall of 2010 a 2-day leadership training was held which created an opportunity for the most active club students and adult counterparts to learn about and discuss goals for their local clubs, as well as inter-club goals and projects. Furthermore, a selection of adult club counterparts and the most-experienced student club leaders lead sessions that demonstrated to younger participants the results and lessons of their work, and that younger students can successfully direct independent projects themselves.
Outcomes: Approximately 20 Outdoor Ambassadors student club leaders and 10 adult club counterparts participated in a 2 day leadership training, primarily in project management and organizational development by leading experts in the field, in the Fall of 2010.
Publicity: Vodafone Albania Foundation was credited as the project donor in all project correspondence, and the foundation's logos and banners were clearly visible throughout the duration of the leadership training. Furthermore, several media outlets were contacted and petitioned to cover the training, but unfortunately chose not to. Last, this website continues to publicize the good work that was done during this training.
Partners: Several speakers from various partner organizations spoke at the conference. Among the organizations contributing were the Bashkia of Elbasan, the Vodafone Albania Foundation, the Regional Environmental Center (REC), and others.
