Neurotypical, which premiered July 29 on PBS is now streaming online until August 28. Neurotypical is an unprecedented exploration of autism from the point of view of autistic people themselves.
A 4-year-old, a teenager and an adult, all on the autism spectrum and at pivotal moments in their lives, work with their perceptual and behavioral differences in a "neurotypical" world.
How they and the people around them work out their differences becomes a remarkable reflection of the world of the non–autistic and what it means to be normal and what it means to be human.
