School Information

Renton Primary and Language and Communication Unit is based in the centre of the village of Renton.  Renton is in on the banks of the River Leven in West Dunbartonshire.  Nearby is the beautiful Loch Lomond and the area is overlooked by Ben Lomond standing at 974m high.

 The present school was built in 1975 but there has been a school in Renton for over a 100 years.

The school has a roll of  184.  The Mainstream part of the school teaches 154 children across 7 classes.  The Language and Communication Unit supports 30 children with additional needs with Language  and Communication across 5 classes. 

The school is open Monday to Friday from 9.00-3.00.  We run a Breakfast Club every morning from 8am onwards and a Homework Club from 3.00-3.45 every Tuesday.  A 6 week programme of After Schools Clubs runs every term.
