Otis Guy bicycles are hand-built under the shadow of Mt. Tamalpais by Otis Guy. Based out of Marin County, California - widely regarded as the birthplace of mountain biking - Otis has been racing since 1971 and building bikes since 1982. As a former Category 1 road racer, a Pro mountain bike racer, and a 1993 Mountain Bike Hall of Famer Inductee, Otis' experience is far-reaching. He is a founding board member of the Marin Museum of Bicycling and the Director of the Mountain Bike Hall of Fame since 2014.
Otis' frames are hand-built by Otis himself, using the best steel tubing from Columbus and other manufacturers. Depending on the rider's use and profile, Otis mixes the most efficient combination of tubing and brazing. All frames are fully fillet brazed. Depending on the number of orders, frames are completed in six to eight weeks.
Frame prices without forks are $3,300 for road, mountain or cyclocross/adventure frames. I design the frames to use Enve forks for road/cross/adventure. I will need to know which suspension fork you will use for your frame to design the frame around that specification.
All frames are built one at a time. I need the rider's specifications with fitting done by the customer (at a preferred bike shop or bike fitting service and then consulted by both of us before designing the frame.
