Wednesday 12/9 at 8 am. In 130 Shineman.

There will be a short period of time devoted to a presentation on variance inflation.

The exam (more a midterm than a final - I consider it equally weighted with the first exam) covers chapters 6, 7 and 8, but also presumes topics chapters 1 - 4.

You should also be prepared for the "reading questions" from chapters 9 and 10. (Assessments of these go to components other than the exam portion of the course grade.)

Bring your computer on Monday 9/28. We will install a "package".

Next working day: Wednesday 9/16. Bring your computer. This is your chance to get hands-on experience with some of the basics. Also helpful: Bring the text.

Note: You are assessed on your class participation. This type of day is a big part of that. Please come ready to get busy and to communicate with others if you need assistance. No attention whatsoever may be allotted to your phone / tablet / etc.
