Educational Philosophy
In my experience, students learn science best when their science class incorporates the following:
    -A student centered focus
-Content that is relevant and important to students and the world
-A strong focus on inquiry and the process of science (science as a habit of mind rather than collection of facts)
-Lots of formal and informal dialog between students
-Multiple opportunities to learn key content and skills
-Formative assessments are used to help students identify what they need to work on
     -A strong focus on literacy
    -Lots of hands-on experience
    -Opportunities to revise
-A teacher that cares about their success
