Interactome/Pathway (IPW) Annotation Project

The Pathway Annotation project aims to provide standard pathway annotations for all Mycobacterium tuberculosis genes and to help understand the organism and develop novel therapeutics.

Why are we doing this ?

Even though the complete genome sequence of Mycobacterium tuberculosis , the causative organism for tuberculosis has been finished and available for more than a decade, >more

How are we doing this ?
We plan to annotate the Mycobacterium tuberculosis genes in standard Systems Biology Markup Language (SBML) format using the procedure followed for other organisms. We, under the C2D programme are involving a large number of students and faculty members to annotate genes using a custom developed web interface. >more

OSDD IPW Project training starts on 11th Dec 2009

We would be officially starting the project training on 11th December 2009. Participants are requested to take the exercise for Pathway Annotation. A video tutorial and presentations along with other reading material are provided for the participants to understand the project and how to implement it.

The IPW Project BEGINS today (6th Jan 2010) !!

This Guide shows how to annotate proteins in absence of literature information

Tutorials on annotation
The IPW members have created tutorials that may help in annotating proteins in Mycobacterium tuberculosis. This tutorial is contributed by OSDD IPW members - Anup Shah, Kausik Bhattacharya, Rohit Vashisht, Girish MR and Salman Zaheer.

The First Round of Annotations are done. The challenge now is to QC this data collaboratively. Here are the Guidelines for Data QC. The Annotation file will only be shared with members who have submitted annotations
