The Osceola School District's vision for Information and Technology Literacy is for students and staff to be effective, successful, adaptable, and ethical users of information and technology. 

Technology Mission

The district's mission for Information & Technology Literacy is to prepare our students for a global society by empowering them through learning opportunities and applying 21st Century Skills necessary for academic achievement and life-long learning in a collaborative and integrated technology-rich environment.

In order to reach the Technology Vision for information technology the district sees as its mission the need to:

1. Ensure equality of technology access and use for all students

2. Integrate information and technology skills into the learning process in all curricular areas

3. Use information resources to assist with differentiated instruction and assessment

4. Provide meaningful staff development to help staff become comfortable with technology so they can utilize it to its greatest potential

5. Encourage students, staff, guardians, and the community to adapt to change, become involved in new technology initiatives, and make information technology resources accessible

6. Provide students and staff with ready access to information and technology

Technology Goals

The School District of Osceola will:

Foster the use of digital media and digital environments to communicate and work collaboratively with students, staff, guardians, and community.

Use technology to aid with data-driven decisions and processes to facilitate student achievement.

Promote and support the collaboration of Library Media Specialists, Technology Leaders, 
Staff, and Community to ensure students learn 21st Century Information and Technology Literacy Skills while promoting the ethical use of technology.

Promote/enable/create a 21st century community of students and staff who are successful and independent users of information, best practices, and technology resources.

Maintain and improve the necessary infrastructure for the effective and efficient instruction and support of district students, staff, guardians, and community.
