Physical Education News!

2016-17 School Year!

**Swimming starts again for all of my classes on Mon. May 22 during their regularly scheduled PE time/day.

The students will be setting fitness goals for the year. They will be working towards developing overall muscular strength, cardiovascular endurance, agility, and coordination while performing and recording their personal best scores in a variety of sport-related activities.  5th Gr. and 4th Gr students have been recording their scores on Google Classroom with Chromebooks, so that they can share their progress and scores with parents.

We will be starting our swimming unit Mon. May 22 until the end of the year.  The emphasis will be on the beginner and intermediate swimming skills and various activities to improve coordination, strength, and endurance.   Safety will be stressed throughout the unit.

**Please help your child to remember his/her tennis shoes for class each week.
