Physical Education News!

Welcome Back to the 2017-18 School Year!

The students will be setting fitness goals for the year. They will be working towards developing overall muscular strength, cardiovascular endurance, agility, and coordination while performing and recording their personal best scores in a variety of sport-related activities.  5th Gr. and 4th Gr students have been recording their scores on Google Classroom with Chromebooks, so that they can share their progress and scores with parents.

We will be starting out the year with our Running/Tagging Games unit in order to get ready for our Fitness Personal Best Challenges. The emphasis will be on cardiovascular endurance, agility, and gross motor skills. Safety, cooperation, and sportsmanship will be stressed throughout the unit.

**Please help your child to remember his/her tennis shoes for class each week.
