I'd like to share a link with you.  This is a Nigerian woman speaking about the danger of a 'single story' for people who are different from us--that is, making assumptions about different people from around the world based on one idea of what people are like from that part of the world.  I think it's important for all of us to challenge our assumptions; this video was enlightening for me. (18 minutes long)
