Spring 2017 UPDATE

Hello AYSO Families!

Here’s information about the 2017 Spring Season.

When is the first game of the season?

U5, U6, and U8 begin March 18th.

U10 and up begin March 11th.

When do practices begin? Practices can begin as soon as the team’s have coaches and the coach completes all certifications.

Has my child been registered? All players have been registered and placed on a team/roster if parents signed roster, turned in Player Application, and made payment for Spring.

Does my child’s team have a coach? You can check to see if your child’s team has a coach by logging on to eayso.org, checking on “Contact Your Coach/Region” tab. Look for SPRING 2017 section, if there’s no coach name, then your child’s team needs a coach.

My child doesn’t have a coach! What happens next? Ultimately, if the team doesn’t have a coach, the children won’t get to play. Parents of U5-U8 divisions have until March 3rd to find a coach.

Who can coach the team? Parents, aunts, uncles, grandparents, older siblings, family friends can coach! No experience in soccer is necessary! A Volunteer Application must be filled out and online courses to be taken to coach.

Parents consider coaching! You’ll already be at every practice and game. You get to choose which days you practice. AYSO provides equipment and training! The time commitment per week for coaches varies from 2-5 hours per week.

I’ve already volunteered to be a coach, when can I start practicing? Email pelayo@orangeayso.org and lynn@orangeayso.org for more information.

For questions regarding registration, please contact our Registrar, Shante’, shanter@orangeayso.org
