<Cesar Harada> Europe is very very cold, yesterday in Paris suburbia temperature fell to -20 Celcius, very unusual. The gulf stream has been deviated to Greenland this year for a while, it is a natural change of pattern, but this year it is being specially impressive, the coldest temperature in the last 50 years on the Atlantic, and the winter of 2010 may not be yet at its peak. That means also that more heat is being transferred onto ice caps to melt, change of salinity etc... I found a very good article explaining this.
Completely different subject : I enjoyed making a quick draft calculation of how many antennas we would need to install at sea in order to establish a data mesh network (aka Openet) and ... it is way too expensive so far... </Cesar Harada>

<Cesar Harada> Worked on a presentation of the Energy_Animal_Anaconda for the Royal College of Art, EPSCR, NESTA exhibition in March. Based on the designs of Antonio Carvalho, Gerard Rallo, Hiromi Ozaki. Long way to go now before the sea, but really exciting to build stuff again! </Cesar Harada>

<Cesar Harada> Today, I redirected DNSs, completely changed all the admin of opensailing.net, international-ocean-station.org, energyanimal.org, lifecable.org since we have been hacked to the last degree. Now everything should come back in order slowly. As I speak the content of the old website is uploading securely. New year's eve is approaching, 2010 should see us a much better organized group, with a good internal and communication infrastructure.</Cesar Harada>

<Cesar Harada> Been working hard. Made changes to nearly all the pages of this website. Created the syntax and permissions page that should se a more clear collaboration system, created a list of  ">> questions?" for each of the labs. Locked the old blog, now we must be nearly up to date, still a lot of broken links, every page, and every link needs to be inspected, and made conform to AcademiXML... Hiromi wont work on Open_Sailing, but many other  collaborators are coming back, to date Ilona, Ollie, Colet, Tim, Rupert, Gianluca... </Cesar Harada>

<cesar> Today, big day. Reposting about 150 posts from the old website to the new blog, so much coding : headache ...
We got in the EL PAIS, thanks to an interview we did while making the workshop at the CCCB with Roberta Bosco.
Yesterday we also were published on Furtherfield | official page | capture 1 2 | cached page | text.
Tomorow, securing the blog, virus check, backup on the new website. Cleaning of cesarharada.com (don't click that link yet!), that has viruses too . </cesar>
