Amphibious Aquapod Robot

This little guy is a an amphibious robot called aquapod that crawls around by falling over itself. It was developed by the university of Minesotta's Center for Distributed Robotics and uses two carbon fiber arms and a servo motor system to move around, also as it's name implies it is completely waterproof and able to regulate its bouyancy.

It really got me thinking, what if protei was able to meve from land to water and viceversa in order to self deploy?
