Welcome.
I am a teacher who wears many different hats around our school.
Please click on the link in the left margin of the information/ class you want to see.  Please feel free to stop by and chat if you have any questions. I am at the school Mondays and Tuesdays this year. The easiest way to get ahold of me is email: apeterson@olneybissellschool.com

Current News:     Reading Raffle
Throughout the year, I draw a name from my reading raffle jar and the student whose name I draw gets to pick a book from my prize box. Students can get a raffle ticket whenever they finish reading a book for fun. The raffle slip requires them to simply put their name, the book’s title, and have an adult, who saw them reading, sign it. They can put the slip directly into the raffle jar themselves or leave it in my box in the office and I will add it to the box.

Dear Families,

It’s time for our first conferences and time for our annual book fair. This year a local bookstore will be supplying all our books. The school library will receive part of the proceeds to put towards new books for the library and classrooms. The fair will be open during parent teacher conferences so adults have a chance to look at the books themselves. As in the past, your student will have a chance to preview the books on Wednesday and make a wish list so that you have an idea of what books they are interested in purchasing. It is only a wish list and not an order. What you do or don’t purchase is up to you.

We are able to accept cash or checks. If you send a check with your child, please make the check out to Book Works instead of to the school. Looking forward to seeing you. Thanks again for your support. Let’s keep those kids reading.

Thank you,

Amy Peterson

School Librarian
