Maria Montessori

"Our aim is not only to make the child understand, and still less to force him to memorize, but so to touch his imagination as to enthuse him to his innermost core."

Our Philosophies

Oxford Montessori adheres to the Montessori method of learning. It also incorporates love and respect for nature and the environment; something we greatly value. Students enrolled are treated as individuals, each learning at his or her own pace and each fulfilling the fullest potential possible. Each head teacher has a bachelor’s degree, in addition to being trained in the Montessori method.

Family involvement is a key element of any child's education. As such, we strive to have constant communication with families. Monthly reports are sent home with students so parents are aware of their child's activities. Additionally, detailed quarterly progress reports are sent home and parent-teacher conferences are scheduled so families can better understand how their child is progressing academically and socially.

Our Commitment to Preserving the Environment

We will strive to reuse products and recycled materials as much as possible. We will use healthy methods to clean and keep a germ-free environment inside the school, using products that do not harm your child’s health, but still ensures absolute cleanliness. We will conserve energy both inside the building and out, in order to keep our dependence on fossil fuels to a minimum, and our carbon emissions at as low of a rate as possible. We will use locally grown produce and products when possible, to support our local farmers and to reduce the environmental strains that shipping causes. We will recycle or reuse all materials that we can. Most important, we will have available the materials necessary for your child to learn a love and respect for the natural world in which we live.
