Investigating Heat

1. The students will observe the relationship between heat and kinetic energy.

2. The students will learn that heat is transferred through the processes of conduction, radiation, and convection.

3. The students will explore the Law of Conservation of Energy, and explore the difference between endothermic and exothermic energy.

4. The students will learn that the property of heat conduction in liquids is affected by mass and surface area.

5. The students will create a fish tank to model their understanding of the concepts taught in this unit.
