Welcome to the home of Our Lady Charity's PK1 class news, up dates and much more.
Good day to you!
"Play is a child's work." In our room, the children learn through play. Our days are built around the activities that the children choose and we are modeling, facilitating and teaching in each of those moments. Click on the left and read more about play.
Mrs. Bogacki and I feel blessed that you have chosen Our Lady of Charity for your child's learning experience. I've been teaching at OLC since 2009. Prior to coming to OLC, The Cardinal Bernardin Early Childhood Center in Lincoln Park was where I hung my hat and taught from the time it opened in 1998 until its closing in 2009. But, if you want to know anything that happened at OLC prior to my coming, have a conversation with Mrs. Bogacki. She has taught at OLC over 20 years, only to retire in June, 2015 - for the second time, and become my assistant extraordinaire in the fall of 2015! I am so glad she retired!
I do not use Facebook. My communication with family and friends is through the U.S. Postal Service, yes, I buy stamps at the Post Office and actually write letters, in cursive, imagine that! I also use the telephone. I do still have a land line, imagine that! I do send e-mails but my family will tell you they love getting mail in their mailbox and NOT their in-box.
My main communication with parents is via your child's communication envelope as well as by e-mail. You will be able to see the newsletters in full color on this web page. If I have your e-mail address, you will periodically receive photos from our class time and I will also send up-dates that way.
Let me know, through your child's communication envelope or via e-mail if you have visited this page.
May your day be blessed!

Did you children tell you how delicious the soup was? Oh, my. It was good! Many children wanted to have a second serving and they ate that , too. Don't let them tell you they don't like vegetables.
