Mu Alpha Theta

Mu Alpha Theta is a national high school mathematics honor society. The purpose of this organization is to stimulate interest in mathematics by providing public recognition of superior mathematical scholarship and by promoting various mathematical activities. Full membership is given to high school students in grades 9 through 12 who have completed the equivalent of four semesters of college preparatory mathematics, have completed or are enrolled in a still more advanced course, and have a mathematics grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. Meetings are held every few weeks and attendance at the meetings is required by all members.
