The Fellowship of Christian Athletes was established in 1954. It has been challenging coaches and athletes on the professional, college, high school, junior high and other youth levels to use the powerful medium of athletics to impact the world for Jesus Christ. FCA is the largest interdenominational, school-based, Christian sports ministry in America. FCA focuses on serving local communities by equipping, empowering and encouraging people to make a difference for Christ.
The Okawville FCA Organization has been a strong influence in this community for over 40 years. Through various fundraisers and private donations the OHS FCA is able to provide leadership training, athletic camp experience, community service projects, and teambuilding activities for our local OHS students. The OHS FCA is currently the largest organization at the High School boasting a membership of over 50 students. Students meet 3 times a week before school and then several times a month for breakfast or night events.
