 Ryan Fagan - Athletic Director

Mr. Fagan came to oak Hill in 2001 as the assistant athletic director and athletic trainer.  He has held his current role as athletic director since 2010.  Before coming to oak hill, Mr. fagan spent 5 years as the athletic trainer at frankfort high school in frankfort, in (1996-2001).  He also served an internship in dubuque, ia where he worked at hempstead high school (1995-1996).  Ryan spent a year and a half working as an athletic trainer for the st. louis cardinals where he was assigned as a minor league athletic trainer for the new jersey cardinals during the 1998 season, and also served an internship in the cincinnati reds organization with the indianapolis indians during the 1997 season.  he also has done stints with oak hill as the transportation director and school safety specialist.

Mr. Fagan is a 1991 graduate of oak hill high school where he earned varsity letters in football, basketball, and baseball.  he then moved on to ball state university where he earned a bachelors of science in exercise science in 1995.  he became a nataboc certified athletic trainer (atc) in 1997.  ryan is a niaaa Certified athletic administrator (CAA) and earned a teaching license in physical education from indiana wesleyan university in 2003.  Mr. Fagan is a member of the indiana athletic trainers' association (iata) where he served as the head of the indiana high school athletic trainers' high school committee from 2008-2010.  He also served as the east district high school rep to the committee from 2005-2008.  The iata named ryan as the athletic trainer to the indiana high school football north all-star team in 2005.  Ryan served on the IHSAA football class realignment committee in 2017, and the Basesball/Softball REalignment Committee in 2019.  The Indiana High School Baseball Coaches Assocation named Ryan as the Athletic Trainer to the North All-Star team in 2018.  He is a member of the national athletic trainers' association (NATA), the indiana interscholastic athletic administators association (iiaaa) where he has served as a mentor in the iiaaa's new athletic director program, he is also a member of the national interscholastic athletic administrators assocation (niaaa), and licensed as an athletic trainer in the state of indiana.

Mr. fagan has led oak hill high school to the 2013-2014, 2014-2015, 2015-2016, 2016-2017, 2017-2018, 2019-2020 champions of character award the ihsaa presents annually to those schools showing outstanding character and sportsmanship.  Oak Hill is the only school in Indiana to win the award the last six consecutive years.  Ryan considers it a great accomplishment, "winning the ihsaa's champions of character award is a reflection of our student athletes, coaches, and community.  it is something that we should all be very proud of as a community."

Ryan is an avid indycar and indianapolis 500 fan.  he also enjoys to travel with his family.  Ryan and his wife anne reside in swayzee, in.  anne is a fourth grade teacher in the oak hill school system.  they have two wonderful childeren kiley and tyler.

 Debra Jackson - Athletic Secretary

Debra has been the Athletic Secretary since 2012.  She is a graduate of Eastern High School and Indiana Wesleyan University.  She was a member of the track and field teams at both Eastern and Indiana Wesleyan University.  

Debra Lives in Sweetser with her Husband, Eric, and two Children Selah and Owen.
Erin Dean - Athletic Trainer

Erin Dean is the Athletic Trainer at Oak Hill, Erin was the graduate assistant athletic trainer at Oak Hill during the 2016-2017 school year and now has come back to be the full time athletic trainer provided to Oak Hill though Optimum Performance Sports - Lutheran Health Network.

Erin comes to Oak Hill from Kalamazoo, MI where she graduated from Mattawan High School in 2008.  Upon graduating in 2015 with her bachelors degree in Athletic Training from Western Michigan University, Erin pursued her masters degree in athletic training from Indiana Wesleyan University.  Erin spent one year working at Vandercook Lake High School in Jackson, MI as the Athletic Trainer.

Erin is a NATABOC Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) and is a licensed athletic trainer in the state of INdiana.  She is a member of the National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA).  An Athletic Trainer is a medical professional who is trained in the initial response and clinical evaluation of any injury, post injury treatment, and injury prevention.  Erin is required to complete continuing education courses to stay current with any developments in the profession allowing athletes to receive the best possible care and treatment.

Erin enjoys spending time outside with her puppy Oliver, as well as family and friends.  When she is not busy with Athletic Training duties, Erin loves to check out vintage craft shows for new project ideas, and cheer on her WMU Broncos and MSU Spartans!
