Mary Ogden
is a principal partner in The Ogden Post Consulting Group; a business concern founded due to a belief that strong non-profit organizations providing community based services are critical to creating and maintaining a healthy and vibrant quality of life in this community.

For over twenty years, Mary combined a career with National City Corporation with an active consulting role for non-profit organizations, working through the Metro United Way volunteer consulting program in Louisville, Kentucky, and the Business Volunteers Unlimited consulting program in Cleveland, Ohio.

Mary has worked with a variety of organizations both in terms of size and focus, ranging from multi-agency housing coalitions to ad hoc rent subsidy programs to neighborhood community centers to scholarship programs.

She leverages her experience in strategic and business planning, marketing, trust and investment management, project management and information technology to assist non-profit agencies in:

  • clarifying their vision and direction               
  • developing their strategic plans and planning process              
  • identifying opportunities for strategic alliances              
  • examining the potential role for mergers and collaborations              
  • evaluating existing processes to improve utilization of scarce resources

Mary has a bachelor degree in history from the University of Kentucky and an MBA from the University of Louisville. In addition to being a diversity trainer, she is a certified Myers Briggs Typology Indicator (MBTI) instructor. Mary is part of the program staff at the Center for NonProfit Policy (Cleveland State University-Maxine Goodman Levin College of Urban Affairs)   www.urban.csuohio.edu/nonprofit where she supports the Leadership Institute for Organizational Change and teaches a workshop on Outcome Based Organizations. 

Currently Ogden is a trustee emeritus for North Coast Community Homes www.ncch.org serving as a member of the Finance; Co-Chair of the United Way Capacity Building Investment Committee; and a board  member of the Medina County District Library Board www.mcdl.info serving on the Finance Committee.
