ODU 39th Annual Spring Conference on the Teaching of Writing

Writing-to-Learn: Inventive Genres and Writing for the Real World

 Remica Bingham-Risher, M.F.A., Keynote Speaker

Monday, March 26  8:30 AM - 3:00 PM and Tuesday, March 27 8:30 AM - 3:00 PM

The Department of English at Old Dominion University presents this conference yearly as a way for writing instructors to collaborate on the most effective methods to teach students in the classroom and approach common instructional challenges or difficulties. This year's conference will focus on creative and fun strategies for teaching. We strongly urge master teachers at the secondary level, as well as instructors at two and four-year institutions to submit proposals for panel discussions, hands-on workshops, round-tables, and practical, strategy-oriented teaching sessions that will focus on composition topics relevant to middle, high school, and college-level instruction.
