ODU 38th Annual Spring Conference on the Teaching of Writing
Sponsored by The Thistle Foundation

High School, College, and Beyond: Teaching Writing Where We Are and for Where We Hope Our Students Will Go

 Ann David, PhD

Monday, March 27  8:30 AM - 3:00 PM and Tuesday, March 28 8:30 AM - 3:00 PM

The Department of English at Old Dominion University presents this conference yearly as a way for writing instructors to collaborate on the most effective methods to teach students in the classroom and approach common instructional challenges or difficulties. This year's conference will focus on creative and fun strategies for teaching. We strongly urge master teachers at the secondary level, as well as instructors at two and four-year institutions to submit proposals for panel discussions, hands-on workshops, round-tables, and practical, strategy-oriented teaching sessions that will focus on composition topics relevant to middle, high school, and college-level instruction.
