Name: Wendy Bross

Grade/Subject: Grades 6-8 Road to Fame and Honor Choirs

Introduction: This is my sixth year as the Vocal Music Teacher at Odessa Middle School. I live in Lee's Summit with my husband, Brad, and our two daughters, Sophia and Elisabeth. When I am not teaching, I am usually busy with my family, and I love to perform. My most recent shows have been in the musical, "Hairspray," with Gladstone Theater in the Park. I played the villain,Velma von Tussel. Before that, I was involved with the Musical Theatre Heritage production of "Bernstein's Broadway," at Crown Center. I have also recently done "The Sound of Music," "Into the Woods," and "Company." I am also an instrumentalist and highly support the band program in Odessa. I play clarinet and piano.

Before teaching middle school, I had my own private music studio for many years. I taught for five years at Concordia University in Seward, Nebraska, and I also worked as an opera singer. I have a Master of Music degree from The University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and a Bachelor of Music from Quincy University in Quincy, Illinois.
